Dr. Adolph Yaniz
Dr. Adolph Yaniz is happily married, the father of a daughter and two sons and two grandchildren. Dr. Yaniz was born and raised in the Chicago area, by two loving parents. His father was also an M.D. He had a happy and close childhood with four sisters and two brothers.
Dr. Yaniz received an honorable discharge from the United States Marine Corps in 1978, and continued his studies, receiving his M.D. degree in 1987 from Universidad Tecnológica de Santiago (UTESA) in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
From 1987 to 1990 he did his residency training for family practice at Methodist Hospital in Gary, Indiana. It was there, that in his third year of training, he was appointed chief resident of the program.
He graduated from his residency in June 1990, and in that same year he passed his board certification for family practice.
He continued to practice medicine in Indiana, in a bilingual setting, as Dr. Yaniz writes and speaks Spanish fluently. During those years he was medical director of a residential nursing facility for the homeless and for a local association for the mentally challenged.
Dr. Yaniz has always enjoyed working with people. He has always enjoyed learning, and takes pride in being able to teach patients in simple, understandable way, so that no questions are not only left unanswered, but are fully understood by that patient.
